SLTX Announces Leadership Appointment Effective July 1, 2025
AUSTIN, TX – The Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLTX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Toby Pick as the new Director of Policy Intake and Analysis, effective July 1, 2025.
In this role, Toby will oversee the day-to-day functions of SLTX’s Operations team, which plays a central part in the intake, validation, and analysis of surplus lines policy data submitted by brokers across Texas. He will lead efforts to maintain accuracy and compliance while supporting continued innovation in how SLTX processes and reviews surplus lines filings. His focus will include enhancing internal workflows, supporting regulatory reporting, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Toby joined SLTX in May of 2009 and has held several positions within the organization, most recently serving as the Operations Manager. Over the years, he has demonstrated knowledge and growth of the surplus lines market and has played a key role in multiple cross-functional roles aimed at improving data quality and service delivery. His collaborative leadership style earned the respect of peers, leadership, and industry stakeholders.
