Marsh & McLennan Acquire Insurance Partners of Texas

Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, a subsidiary of Marsh LLC, announced Monday, May 8, 2017, that it has acquired Insurance Partners of Texas, which is an employee benefits consulting firm based in Abilene, Texas.

Insurance Partners of Texas will become a Marsh & McLennan agency, but will not move locations or eliminate any employment positions.

“This unique opportunity will allow us the ability to maintain our culture and service model, while providing access to a higher level of resources that will benefit our clients, our firm, and our colleagues,” said Summer Powers, Senior Advisor for Insurance Partners of Texas, in a statement.

Marsh & McLennan Agency is involved with the risk prevention and insurance needs of middle-market companies in the United States, and it has offices across the country. In Texas, the agency has locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Lubbock, and Midland.

The addition of Insurance Partners of Texas may increase the amount of premium that Marsh & McLennan record each year, which accounted for more than $25 million in Texas over 2016.
