Advancement in the Excess and Surplus Lines Industry

Dallas-based Robert Moussaid is now the senior vice president for JLT Specialty USA. He previously served as the director of risk and insurance for Energy Future Holdings Corp., which is formerly known as TXU Corp. JLT Specialty USA is the United States-based arm of global broker JLT Group, which is based in London.

CNA Financial Corp. has named David Haas, of Orlando, Florida, vice president of its Florida branch. Haas previously held the position of managing director of the State of Florida for American International Group Inc. CNA Insurance Company Limited, which is a part of CNA Financial Corp., is an eligible surplus lines insurer in Texas.

John Fowle, based in London, has been named CEO of Chaucer Syndicates Ltd. by Hanover Insurance Group Inc. Chaucer Syndicates Ltd. is the Lloyd’s of London unit for Hanover Insurance. Fowle was promoted from his previous position of chief underwriting officer.
