SLTX recorded $1.34B in September. This represents a 6.0% decrease over September 2024, and 10.6% increase year-to-date.

53.6% of premium reported (31.3% of items) is attributable to renewal policies, 38.6% (36.2% of items) to new business, and 7.8% (32.5% of items) to non-policy transactions. Furthermore, non-policy transactions are predominately Premium Endorsements (27,462 items or 67.3% of the 32.5%) and Cancellations (10,972 items or 26.9% of the 32.5%).

The largest increase, Builders’ Risk Property coverage, rose $42.6M (or 117.5%). Homeowners, Commercial General Liability, and Commercial Auto Liability coverages also recorded growth, up $16.2M (46.0%), $10.3M (6.7%), and $6.2M (8.3%) respectively. The coverages with the largest decrease from September 2024 are Excess/Umbrella Liability ($55.8M or 16.8%), Commercial Fire/Allied Lines ($44.0M or 11.7%) and Cyber Liability ($12.1M or 27.0%).

Overall transactions reflected growth for September in item counts, up 7.1% when compared to September 2024. A 14.6% increase in policies filed (84,670) was recorded with average premium per item ($10,680) down 12.2% from September 2024. Record-keeping transactions (name, number, or insurer change endorsements; reversals; etc.) and cancellations were down 19.9% and up 22.6% respectively.
